Lesson 3 of 6 · Web addresses
Use HTTPS on every page
What it is
HTTPS encrypts the connection between your site and the visitor. Browsers show 'Not secure' on pages without it.
Why it matters
Google uses HTTPS as a small ranking signal, and a 'Not secure' warning on a contact form scares customers away.
✓ Good example
Every page loads on https:// and http:// redirects to it in one step.
✗ Common mistake
The homepage is secure but the quote form page still loads on http://.
You pass when: The security checker shows a valid certificate and http redirects to https.
