Lesson 2 of 5 · Titles

Keep titles about 50–60 characters

What it is

Google shows roughly 50–60 characters (about 600 pixels) before cutting a title off. Put the most important words first.

Why it matters

A cut-off title can hide your city or service. Note: older guides suggested 60–100 characters — most of that won't be shown.

✓ Good example

'Emergency Electrician Denver – 24/7 | Bright Spark' (50 characters)

✗ Common mistake

A 110-character title stuffed with five cities.
