Lesson 3 of 5 · Descriptions

Write a unique description for each page

What it is

The meta description is the short summary under the title in results. Google doesn't rank on it, but it often shows it, so it's your sales pitch.

Why it matters

A clear, specific description gets more clicks than one Google pieces together from random page text.

✓ Good example

'Same-day AC repair in Plano. Upfront prices, licensed techs, 4.9★ from 300+ reviews. Call now.'

✗ Common mistake

'Welcome to our website. We offer many services.'

You pass when: Each main page has its own description of about 140–160 characters.
