Lesson 6 of 28 · AI guidance files
Describe key actions for AI agents
What it is
AI agents can now do things for people — book a plumber, request a quote. Agent skill files (SKILL.md) explain step by step how a task works on your site.
Why it matters
When an agent is choosing who to book, the business whose booking it understands is the easiest one to pick.
✓ Good example
A 'book-appointment' skill that says: open /book, choose a service, pick a time, enter name, phone and address.
✗ Common mistake
Booking only by phoning, with no explanation of how to request a quote online.
You pass when: Booking or quote steps are described in SKILL.md files.
