Fixing phone rankings
What it is
If you rank lower on phones than on computers, check five things: the page loads fast on mobile data, text is readable without zooming, the phone number is a tap-to-call link, buttons are easy to tap, and your Google Business Profile is complete with correct hours.
Why it matters
Phone searchers usually want to call or visit now. Google and searchers both favor pages that are quick and easy to use on a small screen.
✓ Good example
Maple Leaf Plumbing & Heating's service page loads quickly, shows "Call now" at the top and lists hours that match its Business Profile.
✗ Common mistake
A slow page with tiny text, a phone number shown as an image and pop-ups covering the screen.
